The Roadmap

Gauntlet-gated to P6.

The plan runs in phases, PV → P6. Each gate is a Gauntlet state, not a date — nothing Moonshot is allowed to gate anything Solid. The vertical skeleton, Bedrock, and Geometry are proven; the first optimization is landing now.

The Phase Ladder

Eight Gates

Each phase exits only when its Gauntlet tier goes green. Illustrative windows are shown; the gate is the state, not the week.

  1. PV

    Vertical Skeleton

    ProvenProven

    Scope — A tiny 2D SDF → PDE → objective → adjoint → optimize → replay demonstrator.

    Exit — The typed continuum runs end-to-end and replays bit-for-bit.

  2. P0

    Bedrock

    ProvenWeeks 0–6

    Scope — Substrate, two-lane executor, alloc, la, sparse, fft, ivl, rand, ledger v0.

    Exit — G0 + G4 green; GEMM / SpMV / FFT within 80% of targets on both ISAs; deterministic mode bit-stable.

  3. P1

    Geometry + Eyes

    ProvenWeeks 6–14

    Scope — geom, SDF / F-rep / mesh charts, Rep Router v1, dual contouring, Delaunay, the Lumen preview tracer.

    Exit — Chart round-trips certified; watertightness vs. a ray-parity oracle; sphere-traced turntables at target ray rates.

  4. P2

    Elasticity + First Optimization

    In flightWeeks 14–24

    Scope — FEEC elasticity, CutFEM-on-SDF, matrix-free p-MG + AMG, adjoints, SIMP.

    Exit — Marquee demo: topology optimization on a raw SDF — no mesh in the loop — with a composed error certificate.

  5. P3

    Fluids I

    PlannedWeeks 24–34

    Scope — LBM (cumulant, sparse, free-surface), the lattice-scaling assistant, thermal, non-Newtonian.

    Exit — Cavity / TGV / cylinder benchmarks green; GLUP/s targets met; the first spout pours end-to-end.

  6. P4

    Structures at Scale

    PlannedWeeks 34–44

    Scope — IGA + Kirchhoff–Love shells, fiber beams, ground-structure PDHG, Kanai–Tajimi + MLMC + e-stop.

    Exit — Frame flagship v1: fragility with anytime-valid stopping; the NAFEMS shell suite green.

  7. P5

    Aero Stack

    PlannedWeeks 44–56

    Scope — BEM + FMM + Kutta, vortex particles, Dirac coupling, SE(3) integrators, Koopman surrogates.

    Exit — Ornithoid flagship v1: a live, e-raced Pareto front.

  8. P6

    Certificates & Self-Optimization

    PlannedWeeks 56–68

    Scope — SOS / Lasserre SDP, sheaf certificates, conformal e-prediction, the self-optimizing planner, differentiable rendering.

    Exit — Moonshot features pass certification or ship flagged-off; the planner beats hand-tuned allocation.
